The Hidden Monasteries of Troodos Mountains

A spiritual journey through Cyprus’ sacred UNESCO-listed monasteries and ancient Christian heritage in the Troodos Mountains.

Exploring Cyprus with Deux Travel was an unforgettable journey through the Holy Land, known as one of the first places where Christianity was established through the missions of St. Paul and St. Barnabas. Our day felt like stepping back into medieval times, with beautifully preserved monasteries and sacred sites that reflect centuries of spiritual heritage.

We visited remarkable landmarks of Kykkos Monastery, St. Neophytos Monastery, and the Ancient City of Paphos, all offering deep cultural and religious significance. Kykkos Monastery, in particular, was absolutely breathtaking with its rich history and stunning architecture.

After our cultural visits, we enjoyed a delicious traditional lunch in a charming Troodos Mountains village, featuring authentic Greek mezes and the famous slow-cooked lamb “Kleftiko.” The day was perfectly balanced with well-organized free time for relaxation and a bit of shopping in the local artisan shops.
